The Sea Cadets guide to keeping fit

POC Millie, of Cheshunt Unit, is the first cadet appointed as a Corps PT Instructor in 10 years and wants to help you achieve a healthy mind and body. Use her tips to reach your fitness goals

1. Set realistic goals

Create a fitness plan that is actually possible. This will help you track your progress and stay motivated!

2. Find exercise you enjoy

Your fitness goals will become much easier to achieve if you’re having fun at the same time.

3. Limit screen time

Swap screen time for quality moments outdoors or spent with loved ones.

4. Keep your mind sharp

Engage your brain with reading, learning or puzzles to stay mentally fit and curious.

5. Good food, good mood

Consider what you are putting into your body – aim to have a healthy and balanced diet.

6. Stay hydrated

Water fuels your body and mind, helping you stay alert, focused and energised.

7. Mind full or mindful?

Take moments to relax and clear your mind. Rest is just as important as work and exercise!
