Keeping everyone safe at Sea Cadets

The latest editions of the Safeguarding Pocket Guides are now available for juniors and sea cadets to help keep everyone safe

The latest editions of the Safeguarding Pocket Guides are now available. This has been an exciting project that involved working directly with cadets from across the UK, collaborating to produce these updated editions. There are two versions tailored for cadets aged 9–11 (juniors) and 12–17 (seniors). We have also produced posters that will be displayed in every Sea Cadets unit.

The pocket guides and posters reflect our commitment to the safety, wellbeing and happiness of every young person in Sea Cadets. They were launched at the Cadet Conference in February and have been distributed to units nationwide.

We have also updated our Safeguarding Training for cadets, which can be accessed through Programmes Online. We have also refreshed the safeguarding pages on our website and on the Sea Cadets Portal.

This comprehensive approach underlines Sea Cadets’ dedication to providing a safe, secure and empowering environment where all young people can develop and thrive.
