Captain’s BZ: Spring 2026
As Captain Sea Cadets, I'll be celebrating the impact of cadets and volunteers around the UK. For my first column, I'm highlighting three units local to me in North London!

A unit reborn
After moving in this summer, Edmonton Unit is thriving in the state-of-the-art new HQ for TS Plymouth at EcoPark House. They’ve hosted district activity weekends, taken part in their first Remembrance Parade for five years and their new powerboat is the perfect addition for their waterside home.

VIP support
Haringey Unit’s growing community presence (including Poppy Appeal-collecting at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium) became clear at November’s Royal Navy Parade at TS Wizard. The Mayor and local MP were among the guests impressed by cadets’ skills and confidence.

Medals galore!
Rickmansworth & Watford Unit cadets are serious competitors. The TS Renown team not only won autumn’s Chosin Cup for adventurous training, they then finished third in the tri-service Elworthy Trophy, after excelling in a range of challenges from first aid to rowing.
