Help us complete the Royalist refit!

We’ve raised more than £700,000 to keep our tall ship in service for young people, but we still need your help to get the job done

Climbing the rigging

The 10-year refit of TS Royalist, the flagship of the Sea Cadet Corps, is well under way, ensuring it remains safe and ready to inspire young people for years to come. This vital work will keep the tall ship in prime condition for future offshore adventures. The mast has been thoroughly inspected and the rigging replaced, keeping Royalist in line with the highest standards. The new generators have arrived, marking the successful conclusion of phase one. As we move into phase two, the focus is on installing the generators, replacing the sails, and other upgrades. This work is scheduled to ensure cadet voyages are not interrupted.

Thanks to some incredible generosity, over three-quarters of our fundraising target has already been raised from major sponsors and companies. But we still need to raise at least a further £200,000 to ensure the ship is ready for the next decade of service.

Your support is vital. Whether by donating, sponsoring, or sharing our appeal in your community, you can contribute to keeping TS Royalist sailing and changing lives. Together, let’s secure the future of this remarkable vessel!
